More about these Tō Waha pop-up clinics
Tō Waha is a kaupapa Māori, whānau-centred oral health delivery model, responding to unmet oral health needs in high-need communities.
The Wairarapa clinics are being run by volunteer dental clinicians, with support from kaimahi. The initiative is being coordinated by Te Karu o te Ika Poari Hauora (the Wairarapa Iwi-Māori Partnership Board) with support and funding from Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (HNZ), and in collaboration with local health and community organisations.
These clinics are part of a wider collaborative initiative across the takiwa between HNZ and the Central Region Te Ikaroa Iwi-Māori Partnership Boards.
